  • Go dtí is used when followed by the definite article (singular or plural).
    • Táim ag dul go dtí an margadh: I'm going to the market.
    • Táim ag dul go dtí na cruinnithe: I'm going to the meetings.
    • Táim ag dul go dtí An Ghaillimh: I'm going to Galway. (Munster)
  • Go is used on its own in other situations.
    • Táim ag dul go margadh an bhaile mhóir: I'm going to the town market.
